From Omnivorous to Fruitarian

Omnivorous, carnivorous, vegan, lacto-ovo and fruitarian are the main diet types based on eating style.
  • Omnivorous, based on a variety of foods, the diet followed by the great majority of people

  • Carnivorous, based exclusively on meat consumption, a highly imbalanced diet unsuitable for humans.

  • Vegan, pure vegetarian, based exclusively on vegetables. No animal products (meat, eggs or dairy products) are consumed, only fruit, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts, and seeds.

  • Lacto-ovo vegetarian, the diet excludes only animal flesh. It is the most popular version of the vegetarian diet.

  • Fruitarian (a version of vegetarian), a highly deficient diet based only on fruit.
